Lunchtime Sports

Overview

 

Lunchtime sports provides an outlet for boys and girls that wish to put their athletic skills to the challenge. It is open to 7th and 8th grade boys and girls and takes place during lunch 10 minutes after the lunch bell rings. Games/activities are usually 15-20 minutes depending on the sport and extenuating circumstances. Lunchtime Sports is headed by Mr. Sheveland and Ms. Wood.

We kick off each new school year with "Open Games". This allows the new, incoming students to get familiarized with routines and protocols and also gives students opportunities to meet new people and form teams ahead of time.

Sign-ups for each Intramural Sport are always announced during morning school announcements in Advisement and also in your respective P.E. class. Sign-ups run for usually 3-5 days and are always posted on the Lunchtime Intramural Board next to Mr. Sheveland's office adjacent to the snack speed line. Rosters, schedules, team match-ups, etc. will be updated daily on the board and on the web site. Just click the specific sport link and it will provide everything you'll need to know.

Being involved in extra-curricular activities is a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and enjoy friendly competition while having fun at the same time. We encourage both girls and boys to take part in this very popular program and look forward to seeing your names on the sign-up sheets and your faces on the field!
