Loaner Program

Student ID cards are necessary if you forget to bring your PE clothes

The P.E. staff at Rancho expects all students to dress out daily. Sometimes situations arise that prevents students from dressing in their normal Physical Education clothing (black shorts, reversible blue/white shirt, and proper shoes). At Rancho, we strongly believe in safety, daily participation, and uniformity. Because of the high numbers in our P.E. classes, it is critical that all students wear the uniform. Students are not allowed to participate in street clothes simply because they "forgot" their clothes, or, mom or dad did not "wash" them prior to class.

Loaner Program

This is where "loaners" benefit both students and staff.

We provide loaners in a dire emergency so students don't have to run and perform in their school clothing up to (3) three times per school year. In order to participate in this emergency loaner program student’s must check out the loaner clothes with their student I.D. card. We are also responsible for your child(ren). Since clothing is part of our class materials, we take dressing out very seriously. 5)Points will be deducted each time student’s choose not to fully dress in P.E. proper shirt, shorts, and laced up shoes.

Shoes are necessary  (NO sandals, boots or non-supportive type shoes) and shoes are not provided by the Physical Education Department loaner program.

Student’s will have an opportunity to make up lost points by participating in an alternative assignment.  Additionally, once a student has used all (3) three loaner clothes opportunities he/she will not be allowed to borrow loaner clothes for the remainder of the school year.  Repeated neglect or disregard of our P.E. dress policy will result in detention and/or telephone contact with parent.

The following guidelines will be carried out for the entire year:

  1. 1- 3 loaners = warning, and a deduction in work habits grade (the back of your ID card will have a tally mark placed by the teacher).
  2. More than 3 days = call home/parent conference/ loss of points for your grade and work habits /possible suspension from class

Girls' Locker Room- students leave their student ID card in the girl's P.E. office, take the necessary clothing that is . Return it to office and fold nicely or hang up on hook. See Ms. Parker to retrieve student ID card.

Do not leave clothing on the floor or in locker.

Boy's Locker Room-  students leave their student ID card in the boy's P.E. office, take the necessary clothing. At the end of class, return it to office and place in the marked bin. See Mr. Goldstone to retrieve student ID card. Once again, do not leave clothing on the floor.
