My goal, as a teacher, is to empower students to become responsible, life-long learners
by realizing their strengths and building on them. 

Humanities Department Mission Statement
The Humanities department’s guiding principle is the belief that all students are individuals deserving of dignity, worth and mutual respect.  Our common goal is to provide a challenging educational environment that allows all students to grow towards becoming responsible, independent, critical-thinking citizens.   Through the integration of the California State Content Standards in Social Studies and Language Arts, we will endeavor to equip and empower students to become engaged, life-long learners in a global society.
