1. Read the part in the book !
2. Is / Of = % / 100
3. EX: What is 75% of 40 ? X/40 = 75/100
             100X = 3,000   X = 30
    EX: What % of 40 is 6 ? 6/40 = X/100
             40X = 600   X = 15
    EX: 9% of what number is 27 ? 27/X = 9/100
             9X = 2700   X = 300

Part 2 "Percent of a number"

4. Change Percent to Decimal and Multiply !
5. EX: What is 75% of 40 ? (.75)(40) = 30 !
