FIREWORKS RULE ASSIGNMENT

1.  Save a *.gif of an animal to be used in this project.
     (see the appropriate web page for a good source)

2.  Start, All Programs, Macromedia, Macromedia Fireworks 8
     You will need Window, Toolbars, = Main
     You will need Window, = Tools, = Properties, = Frames
     Choose "File", "New" 600, 36, 72, White
     Choose "File", "Save as", "fwrule" (.png)

3A.  Choose "File", "Import", your gif from number 1
3B.  Drag the mouse to create the object on your screen, don't worry about the size
3C.  Choose "Modify", "Transform", "Numeric Transform", 
        "Resize", "Scale Attributes" = checked, "Constrain Proportions" = checked
        Change the height (bottom number) to 30, the width will vary based on the original picture.
3D.  In the Properties for the picture, round the W for adding, subtracting & dividing w/ 600
3E.  In the Properties for the picture, set X = 0, Y = 3 for Right Facing and Moving Rules
       In the Properties for the picture, set X = 600-W, Y = 3 for Left Facing and Moving Rules
3F.  In the "Frames and History" area, double click on frame 1's "7" and 
       Change the Frame Delay to be "25", and "check on" Include When Exporting

4.  Go to "Frames and History", Click on Options, "Duplicate Frame...",
     Number = 1, "After current Frame"

5.  Click on the graphic, Change Properties for the picture to have X + W (X-W)

6.  Repeat Steps 4 & 5 until graphic ends up off the other end of the canvas, no partial pictures

7.  Go to the bottom of the screen and click the "play" icon.

8.  Choose "Modify", "Canvas", "Canvas Color", "Transparent"
     Choose "File", "Save as", "fwrule" (.png)

9.  Choose "File", "Export Wizard", "select an export format", "Continue",
     "Animated GIF", "Continue", "Export", File name: "fwrule", Save as type: "Images Only"

10.  Start Dreamweaver 8, Open "rancho"
       Insert, Image, fwrule
       Save As, Title: = "Fireworks and Freehand", File name: = "rancho" F-12 to preview.
