FLASH SYMBOL ASSIGNMENT
(A.K.A. SHAPE/PATH)

1.   Start, All Programs, Macromedia, Macromedia Flash 8, Create New, Flash Document.
      You will need Window, Toolbars, = Edit.
      You will need Window, = Tools, = Timeline.
      File, Save As, "flasymbl", Save as type = "Flash 8 Document {*.fla}" "REPLACE".

2A.  Modify, Document, 550 x 400, BG = orange
2B.  Add Name, Date, Period, Day #, using the Text Tool and 20 pts.
2C.  Click on Frame 24, click "Insert", "Timeline", "Frame"
2D.  Click on "Insert", "Timeline", "Layer", Everything Else on OTHER LAYERS !

3A. Click on "Insert", "New Symbol...", Name: "Symbol 1", Behavior: "Movie Clip", "OK"
3B. Draw your "Before" picture in Frame 1
3C. Frame 1 is already a "Keyframe".
3D.  Click on Frame 24, then click "Insert", "Timeline", "Keyframe"
3E.  Draw your "After" picture in Frame 24
3F.  Click on Frame 1, Change the "Properties", "Tween", to "Shape"
3G. Press Enter to see your "Shape Tween"

4A. Click on "Scene 1", or "Modify", "Scene", "Scene 1" or "Window", "Scene", "Scene 1"
4B.  On Frame 1, Layer 2, Click on "Window", "Library", Drag the Symbol 1 to the frame.
4C. Frame 1 is already a "Keyframe".  Click on Frame 24, then click "Insert", "Timeline", "Keyframe"
4D. On Frame 1, click "Insert", "Timeline", "Create Motion Tween"
4E. Click on "Insert", "Timeline" "Motion Guide", then "View", "Snap to Objects" Must be CHECKED
      On Frame 1, of the "Guide" Layer, draw the desired path with the
      Pen, Pencil, Line, Circle, Rectangle, or Brush tool.  There needs to
      be a definite beginning and a definite ending.(Especially Pen, Line & Brush paths)
      ((Consider Layer 2's Motion Tween & Rotate or Orient to Path))
      (((Consider adding more frames to layer 2 (F-5) if your path is complicated)))
      ((((Consider a path from Free Hand, Copy and Paste, "Modify", "Break Apart"))

5A. On Frame 1 of  Layer 2, Use Tools and/or arrows to Move the Center Point
       of your object to the starting point of your path.
5B. On Frame 24 of  Layer 2, Use Tools and/or arrows to Move the Center Point
       of your object to the ending point of your path.
5C. Press Enter to preview your "Motion Path", the "Shape Tween" will not show.

6.   File, Save As, "flasymbl", Save as type = "Flash 8 Document {*.fla}".
      Press Ctrl-Enter to play and save your flash movie.
