Dear Mom and Dad,
Back to School Nights comes to
each public school but once a year and it a wonderful opportunity for parents
to see the inner workings of their student’s school.
Parents will move through the evening
activities following their child’s schedule, seeing the classroom, and meeting
the teachers. That night they will
learn how to volunteer or help out the school.
The most important thing to come out of that
night will be that parents show their child and the teacher the education is
crucial.
At Back to School Night, parents will use their child’s schedule to move from
class to class.
·
See how student spends the day,
getting from 1 class to the next
·
Classroom environment
·
Meet the teacher and see what
their personality is like
·
Rules for the class
·
Course what will be studied for
the year
·
Requirements and materials needed
for the year
Volunteering at school can be done in
so many ways and helps to support the school as well as their child.
·
Volunteer in the classroom
grading papers, or office, answering phones or running copies for teachers, or
going on the field trip
·
Join the PTO, chaperone dances,
help with magazine drives
·
Donate money or materials needed
for the class
Parents can show their
student the importance of education by being involved at school and at home.
·
Come
to Back to School or parent conferences
·
Support the student by helping
take them to the library, get materials they need, reminding you to do your
work/ homework
·
Get involved at school in the PTO
or class or by donating
·
Ask “How was your day at school”
and give praise for good grades or good work
Parents, who want to see the inner workings
of their student’s school, definitely should go to Back To School Night.
That evening, parents will follow their
child’s schedule, which will enable to meet the teachers, learn about the
classes, what they will be studying that year as well as how to be successful
that year and what materials they might need.
Volunteering at the school helps the school and
the teachers as well as the students. Parents can join the PTO, help out in
the office or classroom and even donate materials or montey to the classroom
teachers. Education is very
important thing and parents will want their child and teachers to know that it
is significant to them as well. They do this by helping their student to be
successful: helping them with them with their homework, taking them to the
library if they need it or just telling them what a good job they did.
Therefore by attending Back to School Night is just one step to being involved
in the student’s life at school as well as their future.
Sincerely,
