If yes, then write your outline. If no, then get more info., make more note cards, & do the outline. OUTLINE IS DUE TOMORROW. If you did not finish your Oct. Sky perseverance chart, take it home and finish it. |
| 5/29/08 | Partner check of source cards and note cards. Fill out check-off sheet: Do you have a source card for each of these sources: encyclopedia source? ___ book or magazine source? Internet source? ___ Did you label each card with # 1, #2, or #3 to show where you got the information? If not, label them now. Do you have your outline? Did you use Roman Numerals for each subtopic? I, II, III, IV, and V. If the answer is yes, you are ready to start typing your report. Remember to double space, use 14 point font, Times New Roman or Arial, and save your file |

Word by Word Picture Dictionary Use transparencies to teach vocabulary: Geography p. 109; matching workbook (p. 109 at the top of the page) Science, p. 110; matching workbook page (p. 110 at the top of page) 2. Household Chores: How often do students help out at home? Teach adverbs of frequency (always, often, sometimes, seldom, never; daily, weekly, twice a week, etc.) (For pictures of different chores, have students refer to their WBW p. 24, 32, 35 and 73) Students fill out the chart (side # 1) answering about themselves. For the back side, they will interview another student, asking these same questions and writing what their partner says. 3. Essay Format Requirements (Students have been working on a science research topic and are taking notes on note cards. They should already have 3 sources of information, note cards, and an outline.) Today pass out the sheet explaining the requirements, and discuss it. 4. Students may continue typing or researching. Meiyi should help Amanda. (Does Amanda understand what she has read? Does she need an easier topic?) 5. If time, Listening Center, Scrabble, and other games (especially for those who are far along on the project). WORK ON YOUR PROJECT OVER THE WEEKEND. We will type next Wed. and Friday in the computer lab. The final paper is due Monday June 9th. Clean up before dismissal.
