10/6/08 Next Wednesday is "Walk to School" Day.
Retest on days of the week and months of the year.
Read Ruth Heller's Merry-go-round, a book about nouns.
Common and proper nouns; concrete and abstract nouns.
Finish SRI testing.  Pass out letters for parents
Edit family stories. Students in the green and red groups must have an introductory paragraph and one paragraph about each person in the family.  (If your family has 4 people, you must have 5 paragraphs.)

Homework: 1. Calendar testing:  Copy any word you misspelled 100 times.
2.   List 5 more nouns in each category: common; proper; concrete; abstract.
3. Give SRI Reading Counts letter to parents.  Tell them about reading 30 minutes a day and show them your reading list.  Get your parent signature on the letter.
4. Finish your family story.  Recopy.

10/7/08 Turn in family stories for grading.
