Warm up by previewing Lesson 6 vocabulary; divide into differentiated groups to share limericks & begin Visions reading guide; assess lexile level by taking the SRI test in the computer lab; type bibliography for biography report.

Warm up by identifying/matching Lesson 6 vocabulary to visualizations; divide into differentiated Visions groups and work on reading guide; practice writing skills & vocabulary from Lesson 6 to complete the "sentence starters;" visit the library to borrow books and assess knowledge of reading with Reading Counts quizzes; discuss SRI scores.
