11/1  Hello!  We now have a class website!

This website is to inform students and parents of our daily (or weekly) objective/agenda.  It will also list current homework assignments.

OBJECTIVE:
Short day today!  We only had one period of ELD.  Today, students identified the parts of speech in a sentence.  We had a discussion regarding Halloween night.  Students viewed "It's a Great Pumpkin."  I also did a read-aloud with 2 very SPOOKY stories!

Students do not need their VISIONS books on Friday, November 2nd.  However, they need their WBW (Word By Word) dictionary and workbook

HOMEWORK:
1) Blue- Write a paragraph that describes what you did on Halloween night. 
            You may begin it with: "On Halloween night, I..."
Green & Red- Write a short story (minimum requirement of 1 full paragraph) on Halloween Traditions Worksheet
ALL groups-
2) Bring a book for SSR (Silent Sustained Reading)
3) Read & study pg. 11 in WBW (Word By Word) Dictionary

11/2 OBJECTIVE:
Students will learn vocabulary of leisure recreational activities; read silently; form sentences using all the parts of speech in their Word Sort; edit Word Sort sentences; create sentence chains with construction paper.

HOMEWORK:
1. Leisure Activities Worksheet
2. Bring a book for SSR
3. Bring all Visions books to class on Monday

DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK!  IT IS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!  SET THEM BACK ONE HOUR ON SATURDAY EVENING.
